Barley Wood Orchard
Barley Wood Orchard - hand pressed apple juice and cider
At the bottom of The Walled Garden you'll find the roundhouse. It's home to two antique manual presses on which we make pure apple juice and traditional styles of cider using apples from Barley Wood Orchard.
There are over 60 varieties of apples in the unsprayed orchards, from aromatic Ashmead’s Kernel to the bittersweet Harry Masters Jersey.
We also use surplus fruit from local people’s gardens in exchange for juice or cider (do get in touch if you have an abundance of apples!).
Look out for the 'Cider Barn Open' sign and come see the presses, try the juice and cider, enjoy a pint on our benches or buy something to take home.
The Cider Barn is open every weekend throughout the summer:
Saturdays 1pm - 8pm
Sundays 1pm - 6pm
Seating is outdoors in the beautiful Walled Garden so we may close if it is raining.
