JENNIFER DAVIDSON
ONE-DAY PASTEL PAINTING WORKSHOPS
Due to the many requests for more pastel painting sessions I am offering the following one-day workshops this summer.
Friday June 3rd
Saturday June 25th
Saturday July 9th
Thursday July 21st
Saturday July 30th
The workshops will run from 10.30 am – 4.30 pm each day with a break for lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided. You may bring a packed lunch or treat yourself to lunch in the Café at Barley Wood Walled Garden.
All materials will be provided but please bring any that you have, as discussion and comparison of the different qualities of a variety of materials is always interesting.
We shall spend the morning experimenting, exploring and selecting methods and materials, using different papers, soft pastels, oil pastels, pastel pencils, fixatives etc to produce some exciting results!
In the afternoon using pastels a finished pastel painting may well be achieved.
As my studio is not very large, numbers will be restricted to 5 students each day, thus enabling everyone to have space and as much of my time as they require.
The cost for the day will be ₤35 to include all materials, tea and coffee.
To secure your place on your chosen day please send a cheque for ₤35, also stating your first and second choice of dates to:-

Week Pottery Course
This course is for beginners and improvers. You'll be working with a variety of popular pottery techniques, throwing on the wheel, handbuilding, and also experimenting and designing self-directed projects.
All tuition is by Bill Moore, with as much discussion and demonstration as you need. All material costs are included in the course fee and there are a maximum of 6 people in each group.

Master Class in Throwing on the Potters Wheel
This course is for beginners and improvers to learn throwing on the potter’s wheel.
For the beginner this course will be a good introduction into the art of throwing on the potter’s wheel and by the end of the course you will have the basic techniques in throwing to build upon.
For the improver this course is ideal to learn many ‘tips of the trade’, which will help build your confidence to make any shapes. You make also come with a self-directed project such as teapots or jugs.
The course is limited to 4 spaces therefore a large amount of one to one tuition throughout the day. The small seiection of the pottery made on the weekend will be fired, glazed and can be collected 3 to 4 weeks after the course.

Raku Pottery Workshop
The raku one and half-day workshop are over two weekends and held on Sundays. The first Sunday is to make the pottery (half day between 1.00-3.30 pm.) Then the following Sunday is an exciting day when everyone fires their own pots using this ancient Japanese technique.
